Despite the hard time humanity currently has due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IVR (Internationale Vereinigung für Rechts- und Sozialphilosophie or International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy) Japan has made efforts to provide researchers and students with the opportunity of making presentations on their studies and joining in academic discussion. While we decided to postpone the 2nd IVR Japan International Conference on “East Meets West: Justice, Law, and Politics” until 2022, we are pleased to announce that the IVR Japan International Workshop 2020 will be held via an online meeting system on the 21st of November, 2020. This open-theme event does not include any plenary lectures or panels and consists only of individual presentations. The official language is English.
We invite researchers and graduate students to submit paper proposals for the workshop. Papers on any topics in the areas of legal philosophy, political philosophy, moral philosophy, and applied ethics in a broad sense are welcome.
